Welcome to the Videogame Speed Runs collection.
Since this collection is now public, wanted to welcome everybody to it.
Videogame Speed Runs are the art of completing games as swiftly as possible, and not only are they cool, they're going to be important historically, when we look back in 20 or 50 years time to see what tactics people used in games and what shortcuts they used to get ahead - and, come to that, the fact that completing games quickly (not necessarily the object!) was so popular.
Some highlights - the Super Mario World SNES run
in 11 minutes is pretty smart, using the secret Star World to get to the end of the game super-fast. Also, the Half-Life PC run
, getting through the entire game in 51 minutes, is also rather impressive, and completing Metroid Prime 100 percent
in 1 hour and 37 minutes, one of the original records that sparked interest in non-Quake speed running, is another impressive landmark.
Hope everyone enjoys - Nolan 'Radix' Pflug is adding new content to this collection regularly.
